Tesco Payment Protection Insurance (PPI)

Covering yourself against the unexpected makes sense... After all, life is far from predictable.

Tesco has joined forces with the underwriters UKI and Direct Line Life to deliver Payment Protection Insurance.

If you're unable to work for 14 consecutive days due to accident, sickness or unemployment, below is an outline of how PPI could help you.

What's in it for me?

  • The policy could pay 10% of the outstanding balance on your Tesco Credit Card as at the date you make a successsful claim, for a maximum of 12 months.
  • It costs just 79p (including Insurance Premium Tax) for every £100, or part thereof, of the highest balance on your statement that month. This will be calculated monthly and added to your outstanding credit card balance as at the date of the statement. This means that it will cost £1.58 for a balance of £200 and so on.
  • Monthly charges will continue unless there is a nil balance for the whole statement month. Interest will be charged in line with the policy terms and conditions.
  • It's your responsibility to make sure the policy meets your needs. Please refer to the policy summary to check that you are eligible for cover before applying.
