Top car clubs in the UK

England has a great motoring heritage and there are many car owner clubs all around the country that organise events for their members.

It is a great way to socialise with other motoring enthusiasts and spend your weekends in the car that you love so dearly. We have selected five popular UK car owner clubs, but this is just a shortlist so let us know if we've missed you off the list!

The Porsche Owners GB Club

The Porsche Club Great Britain was founded by Porsche enthusiasts in 1961 to enjoy their Porsche 356's which were the only production models at the time. The club was founded by just 30 members but because of Porsche's popularity and status the club has grown to more than 15,000 members - the largest Porsche owner's club in Europe!

The Land Rover Discovery Owners Club

The Land Rover Discovery Owners Club was established in 2000 by enthusiasts to preserve the legacy of the Land Rover Discovery, the UK's most popular medium-sized 4x4. The club has since flourished and already has more than 1,500 members.

The Discovery Owners Club (DOC) offers its members many benefits and one of the most popular has to be access to the DOC forum that allows members to discuss technical issues, events and sales - in fact anything to do with Discoveries. Members also receive discounted schemes with certain insurers, publishers, and tool and part suppliers.

The Ford Focus Owners Club (FFOC)

One of the most popular hot hatches in the UK, it is no surprise that the FFOC has become as popular as it is. Their forum is currently one of the biggest Focus forums in Europe and boasts having many technical advisors online to answer any of its member's queries.

They organise many meetings throughout the year throughout the country nationwide and take pride in providing their club members with the best possible advice on the care of their Ford Focus.

The BMW Car Club

Since its inception in 1952 the BMW Car Club has gone from strength to strength, becoming one of the most popular car clubs in the UK. Members benefit from exclusive discounts from most BMW dealerships and service centres and the club organises more than 100 events ranging from track days to exhibitions and trips to manufacturing plants. It is also the only independent manufacturer recognised club for BMW owners in the British Isles.

MG Owners club

One of the most classic and loved cars in the UK, it is no surprise that the MG Owners Club has become the world's largest single marque car club. It was founded in 1973 to serve the needs of the MG owner and the club has, in the last 35 years, grown to more than 50,000 members.
