What is and isn't included?
Health insurance covers the costs of eligible private medical treatment, rather than using the NHS where waiting lists can be long
Tesco Health Insurance covers the eligible treatment of new 'acute' conditions - diseases, illnesses and injuries that respond quickly to treatment.

What is included?
The cover includes a standard set of features and benefits available to everyone:
- Your choice of hospital
- NHS cash payments
- Private road ambulance cover
- Hospital-at-home
- Parent accommodation
- 24 hour health information
- No maximum age on joining
- Access to Personal Advisory Team
Tesco Health Insurance is designed to help you get back on your feet as quickly as possible, this means that:
- Any new medical conditions you get after you join will be covered within the terms of your policy.
What's not included?
- Medical conditions that you have had in the five years before you take out your policy and their related conditions aren't covered. If you are trouble-free of the conditions for two continuous years once you start the policy, you may have cover for them in the future.
- Ongoing, recurrent or long-term treatment of illnesses (known as chronic conditions) aren't covered by your policy.
