Choosing the correct veterinarian
Finding a good reliable vet for your cat is as vital as finding yourself a GP and it is worth taking time to choose someone you feel comfortable entrusting your cat's health to.
You will need to decide what exactly you will need from your vet. The easiest way to do this is to make a list of things that are important to you. Do you want a vet close to home? This could be very handy in an emergency. Or would you rather sacrifice convenience for the latest diagnostic tools?
Seek out specialists. Some vets specialise in cats and others in dogs, so selecting someone that specialises in cats would be very beneficial. If your cat has a medical condition like diabetes or heart problems, finding a specialist in the correct field means better treatment for your cat.
